There’s something satisfying about playing dress up. It evolves from child’s play to a mastered-yet-progressing art as an adult.
I used to love being unconventional. I never played by the rules, especially when it came to clothes and makeup. I steered away from the same ol’ same ol’, and did whatever I felt like (including rainbow eyeshadow; I guess I took the concept of art a little too far). But it was fun, and exciting and somewhat therapeutic to exude the kind of confidence to wear (faux) fur on a casual Tuesday afternoon.
Whilst my style has evolved to minimal and neutral (it comes with age), I still love the occasional OOTD that’s OTT.
