I personally think fashion is at it’s most fun when it’s contrasted. Putting pieces together that don’t quite go looks so fun and edgy, especially when it’s not in an obvious way. Of course, the most common and probably the most out there version of contrasts is colour blocking, especially with bright colours, but contrasting textures or themes work just as well.
Soft, flowy skirts with leather jackets isn’t a new concept, but it’s one I personally haven’t tried before. With the weather acting up the past couple of days, a throw-over-the-shoulder leather jacket is perfect.
Ballet-type pieces have also been cropping up recently, and I absolutely love it. Feminine silhouettes and classy statement pieces are right up my alley, thank you very much. I wanted to show the versatility of this skirt, so I will be styling it in 2 more ways for the blog – because I think it’s important with trendy items to be able to wear them in more than one way.
