I feel like all I do is go on and on about how warm it’s getting (I bet we’re going to get a cold front just to spite me), but you have no idea how much I love warmth and the sun, particularly in Spring.

One of my favourite things about any time of the year that isn’t Winter is that my skin isn’t as dry (can you hear the Angels praising?), so having a somewhat lighter regime is possible. These are the skincare products that I use, particularly when I don’t feel like wearing too much on my skin.

Moisturizer: I’m still using the Kiehls Ultra Facial Cream because I love it, and I love how it sinks into my skin so well whilst feeling hydrated but not heavy.

Sunscreen: Never ever leave the house without it. I use the Skinceuticals one because it absorbs almost immediately, and doesn’t leave a white film like other products do.

Primer: I can’t go without primer now, ever since I’ve seen the different in the appearance of my pores. I use the Benefit Porefessional Primer, that has a mattifying finish so it’s great to use on oily areas, especially in Summer.

CC cream: I spoke about how I’ve switched to CC cream on my SnapChat for everyday use after my niece Shazeaa’s recommendation, and now I can’t live without it. It’s so light but still gives amazing coverage which is important. I use this Bourjois one (available at selected Clicks)

Loose setting powder: I hate wearing powders in Summer, because nothing screams “heavy makeup” like a caked up face. But loose setting powders have evolved and are as fine milled as ever; they don’t leave your face feeling too done up but still give a matte enough finish. I love the LA Girl loose setting powder for its flawless finish and affordable price (available at Dischem)

Facial Spray: I received this La Roche Posay facial spray (available at selected Dischems at the end of September) at a press event and didn’t pay too much of attention to it until I watched a YouTube blogger talk about how she can’t live without it- and now I can’t live without it! I literally spray my face all the time. It’s so cooling and refreshes your makeup instantaneously, and gives you a subtle youthful sheen that looks dewy and not oily.
