I’ve been wearing Sissy Boy ever since I was a kid (I had a red pair when colour jeans were a thing that I would wear all.the.time.) and  getting a new pair was usually an Eid treat. Putting that into perspective, you can only begin to imagine my excitement when I opened up this package that arrived casually at my doorstep.

There are a couple of things that I will always be adverse to: pigeons, slow WiFi and the dreaded jeans gap (see here for what I’m talking about). We’ve all experienced it, and the geniuses over at Sissy Boy have heard our cries: using silicone bands (the kind that are used in boob tube tops and bras) on the waist band to keep the jeans from shifting, sliding down and to keep it really hugging the body. I told you, it’s genius.

This pair is the Axel mid rise skinny in extra blue (R999) and it’s so incredibly soft and the perfect shade of blue. Another feature that I love is the fact that it has a press stud mechanism rather than a button, which means the front lays quite flat against the body without the zip going down.My only con is that the first time I wore the jeans, my hands ended up blue from the dye (so wash before wear).

See how I styled it below:
