I read a lot of fashion websites, and one thing I think everyone has spoken about is building a capsule wardrobe: basically a closet full of basics (generally of higher quality) that you rotate throughout the season. Colour palettes are usually neutrals, with maybe a touch of colour of the season mixed in. I have been trying to build a capsule wardrobe of my own, consisting of key pieces that I know can last a lifetime.
This look is based around one of my most recent additions to my capsule wardrobe: I am utterly obsessed with this coat by Lavish Alice (via Superbalist). It’s a very flattering shape, made of sheer chiffon fabric (which works well in all seasons) and is longer length (bonus!). When I first got it I felt like it looked a bit like an open abaya, as it was way longer on me than on the model (joys of online shopping), but once styled it looked really different.
PS, I’m wearing: Coat: Lavish Alice | Top: H&M (they have the best basics!) | Jeans: Forever21 | Shoes: Cotton On | Bag: Gift | Ring: H&M | Lipstick: HD Matte by Inglot
