READY, SET, GLOW | PART 2-HAIR

Every woman wants glowing EVERYTHING- skin, teeth, hair, makeup. Whilst those over in Hollywood have the help of the best dermatologists, stylists and artists, we can humbly get the same effects with DIY remedies and over-the-counter budget friendly products.

Part 2 of this 5-part series will focus on HAIR.

CHANGE UP YOUR CONDITIONER

This was such a weird tip when I first read about it, but after trying it out it really made a difference. I now stick to one shampoo and alternate between a moisturising conditioner and a hair growth conditioner

OIL IT

Oiling my hair regularly really makes a huge difference. I used to use coconut oil or olive oil (both highly recommended) but I have heard astonishing reviews about argan oil (also known as Moroccan oil). Definitely on my list for bouncy hair! (check hair salons for this oil)

ADD SOME ESSENCE

Bergamot essence is renown for helping with hair growth. It retails in a tiny bottle that should be added to a full bottle of conditioner. (Find it at Clicks, Lenon’s essences)

BLOW DRY DOWNWARDS

When drying your hair, try and wait for it to semi air dry, then apply a thermal protector. An awesome tip is to point the nozzle downwards. This adds shine and and helps to eliminate frizz.

COLD RINSE/COLD DRY

I know it’s winter, but rinsing your hair out with lukewarm water really helps to seal the cuticle. This helps with major shine. But if you’re not up for a cold rinse, try blasting your hair with cold air from your hair dryer after styling.

Okay, now get glowing!

Great tips, thanks for sharing :) I regularly switch my conditioners but I’ve never used oil as I’m worried it will make my hair greasy… Does it?

    Great post :)
Another question about the oil.. Do you apply it to the scalp/roots as well? How long do you leave it in for?
