NEIGHBOURGOODS

Neighbourgoods Market Entrance

On Saturday morning I went to Neighbourgoods Market in Jozi town.

It’s a delicious food market (with a few vintage and designer clothing stores) every Saturday from 10am to 3pm. Everything I sampled was to die for, but I didn’t end up buying much because it gets incredibly busy and full.

My favourite was the baking, the dairy-free smoothies (I had a mango-orange and wish I bought one in each flavour. I guess that’s kind of like the foodies take on “buying one in each colour”?), and the home-made Haloumi.

I think what I love about Neighbourgoods so much is its authenticity. Everything is organic, rich and the people there all seem to shout out their unique personality. I have yet to be in a place more wholesome. Also, it’s in the middle of town. Who knew?

PS: Check out the picture of the little kid drawing. I am kind of obsessed with the concept- a table covered with chalkboard for kids to write on and erase off as they please. Genius.
